AryanHub
Privacy at AryanHub
A plain-language summary of what AryanHub stores, who can see it, and what you control. No legal jargon — this is the actual behaviour of the app.
What is stored
| Data | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Your profile — name, username, photo, bio, birthday, emoji status | So people can find and recognise you | Until you change or remove it |
| Messages and media you send or receive | The chat itself | Until deleted — by you, by “delete for everyone”, by a group admin, or by an auto-delete timer you set |
| Contacts you add and people you block | Your address book and your block list | Until you remove them |
| Notes and Stories | Shown to the audience you chose | 24 hours, then they expire |
| Settings, themes, wallpapers, folders, drafts | So the app looks and works the same on every device | Until you change them |
| Online status and last seen | Presence — shown only to whom your privacy setting allows | Replaced continuously |
| Known devices | Login alerts for sign-ins from new devices | Until you log a session out |
| Alexa’s per-chat memory (groups where it has been used, and your Alexa DM) | So the assistant remembers that chat’s context | Until a group admin (or you, in your Alexa DM) asks Alexa to forget |
| Guest (temporary) chats | Chatting with someone who has no account | Ended and cleaned up automatically when the guest leaves |
Chats you open are also kept on your own device (in the browser’s storage), so they open instantly and work on a slow network. That copy stays on your device and is removed when you log out or clear the site’s data.
Who can see what
- Your messages: only the members of that chat. The database enforces this — see Safety & Security.
- Your last seen, online status and photo: whoever your privacy settings allow — the check runs on the server, so a “nobody” setting really is nobody.
- Notes and Stories: your contacts, or your close friends, as you choose.
- Moderators: a message only when someone reports it.
- Alexa: the message that mentions it plus the recent context of that chat; in a group where Alexa has been used, also the group’s recent messages every few dozen messages, to refresh its memory. Never a private chat between two people.
Services AryanHub relies on
| Service | What it does |
|---|---|
| Oracle Cloud (Mumbai, India) | Runs AryanHub’s own database server. |
| Cloudflare | DNS and traffic in front of the servers; R2 storage for photos, videos and files. |
| Vercel (Mumbai region) | Serves the app and its small server functions. |
| Google Gemini API | Generates Alexa’s replies and its per-chat memory from the messages described above. |
| YouTube | Plays the video in a YouTube Watch Party (YouTube’s own player) and powers AryanHub Music. |
AryanHub shows no ads and does not sell your data.
What you control
- Delete a message for everyone, clear a chat, or set an auto-delete timer.
- Choose who sees your last seen, online status and profile photo; block anyone.
- Choose the audience for Notes and Stories.
- See your active sessions, log out other devices, set old sessions to end automatically; get an alert for every new device.
- Tell Alexa to forget a chat’s memory (group admins, or you in your Alexa DM).
- Ask the team to delete your account: message @aryanhub or a moderator listed in Settings → Developers — deletion is done by hand by the team.
